Snowed: Deceptive Advertising by Ski Resorts
A new paper from 2 Darmouth College economists claims that ski resorts falsely reported snowfall data to lure people to the mountains. Part of me thinks this sort of false advertising is unacceptable, and part of me thinks that it is good to motivate people to do things like skiing and snowboarding even if the motivating factor is a white lie.
